2024 Direct School Admission – Secondary (DSA-Sec) Exercise
All students interested in applying for a place to Catholic High School via DSA-Sec will need to do so via a centralized DSA-Sec Portal managed by the Ministry of Education (MOE). The selection criteria and process for the talent areas will be updated from early-May.

Leadership (IP / SP) | Leadership Development in Student Leadership Boards DSA Leadership students will be appointed as class-based Student Representatives. In their role as Student Representatives, they will be given attachment stints with the three leadership boards of the school, namely the Class Management Committee, the Prefectorial Board and the Students’ Council. These attachments allow them to gain a greater insight into the roles of the various Student Leadership boards through the organising of class-based and school-based activities, the performing of prefect duties and participating in advocacy projects. These experiences will help to develop their leadership competencies in communications and in working with others in teams. At the end of their stints, they will be invited to apply directly to the leadership boards of their choice and work towards being formally appointed as Student Leaders. * Appointment as Student Leaders are based on continued good performance and assessed suitability for the roles. | |
Music Elective Programme (IP / SP) | MEP DSA students will be able to perform and showcase their composition skills within and out of school, including MOE-MEP Concerts and Masterclasses. They are encouraged to take on the leadership role of Arts Ambassadors in their classes and be enriched with a range of music and art experiences. They will also have a chance to lead the class in organising music events. | |

| Performing Arts Co-Curricular Activities Programme The Performing Arts DSA student will be able to develop a lifelong passion for the arts, nurturing his creative expression, enriching social, cultural and historical awareness, and building character. The 4-year Performing Arts CCA programme will provide learning opportunities for students to apply the art-form skills, techniques and processes and put into practice and showcase their skills. They will learn to think critically and show confidence in their ability to make judgments of art works using vocabulary that is appropriate and representative of the art form. They will also be involved in discussing and relating to the value of the art forms and how they apply in their lives and societies across cultures. |

| Physical Sports Co-Curricular Activities Programme The Physical Sports DSA student will be able to pursue his sporting passion holistically, develop his skills, knowledge and values, specific to his sport, setting personal challenges, achieving sporting excellence, guided by the motto of “Discipline, Character, Championship”. The 4-year Physical Sports CCA programme will provide learning opportunities for students to acquire fundamental motor skills and movement concepts specific to the sport. The emphasis will be on learning and enjoyment through developmentally appropriate movement experiences. Highly specialised and intensive training for high performance will be planned for the students to achieve sporting excellence, anchored on core values. |
Bilingualism (IP) | Bilingual Broadcasting Programme Students apply the use of both languages (English and Chinese) to promote bilingualism in school. Cultural Ambassador Programme(华青班) Students deepen their learning in the appreciation of Chinese culture e.g., Bilingual and Bicultural Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival. 华青班活动以推广中华文化为宗旨。华青班的学生有机会聆听和中华文化知识相关的讲座、参加中华文化学习之旅和筹办校内中华传统节日的庆祝活动。 Bicultural Studies Programme (双文化课程) Bicultural Studies Programme is an upper level programme Students learn the history, social evolution, economic developments and international relations of contemporary China with the rest of the world, particularly the West.
