30 April 2015 – MOE Letter to Parents: Updates on New Eunoia JC

Dear IP Parents,

An official letter from MOE will be given to your son today (30 April 2015). It provides clarification on the latest developments of the new Eunoia JC’s holding site and permanent campus. You can view the PDF copy of the full letter at this LINK.

The following are some extracts from the letter:

“MOE has evaluated the Mount Sinai campus and has definite plans on how to rejuvenate the holding site. From January 2016, the Mount Sinai campus will undergo an extensive rejuvenation. MOE will replace existing facilities such as the science laboratories, rebuild the running track and field, add new facilities such as music studios, install wireless connectivity across the campus, and provide sufficient informal study spaces. The overall efforts would ensure a conducive learning environment. MOE will also provide details and an artist’s impression of the holding site by end September 2015. There are also discussions on alternative transport arrangements for affected students …”

“… We would like to assure all parents and students that the current chosen site at Sin Ming remains the most suitable site for the new JC’s permanent campus as it is centrally located, is situated near the future Bright Hill MRT station and adjoins the Bishan – Ang Mo Kio Park …”

“… MOE takes the formation of the new JC very seriously, and our team in MOE HQ is fully committed to the new JC’s start up.”
